PROJECTS

Chimaltengango, Guatemala, CA

The goal of our work is to reduce inequality

P.A.Í.S

At the beginning of 2023, AUSEL Association launches in Chimaltenango (Guatemala) its P.A.I.S Project (Program for Social and Labour Insertion, in Spanish: Proyecto de Apoyo a la Inserción Sociolaboral) for young people and their families in situations of difficulties or Social conflicts. In collaboration with the NPH Guatemala Foundation, we promote access to full citizenship for our beneficiaries, through incorporation into the labor market or encouraging educational continuity, and fostering their autonomy through training processes, personalized support and structures adapted to their needs.

OBJECTIVES

AUSEL’s Social and Labour Insertion Support Program aims to reduce the inequalities faced by our beneficiaries through the generation of opportunities for success, and to achieve this objective we intend to:

• Achieve higher levels of autonomy, generate expectations of progress, define improvement projects, seek personal independence and equality within Guatemalan society. Autonomy is not only an economic issue but also one of empowerment, maturity, personality and self-esteem.
• Stimulate the involvement of young people and encourage their decision-making, and thus helping them to take ownership and responsibility for their behavior..
• Training for life, which allows for social integration and access to opportunities for the active incorporation into Guatemalan society.
• Comprehensive development of the person, who can advance in different areas in a balanced way.
• Promote their self-knowledge, that is, that they know what their true possibilities and potential are.
• Reinforce their self-esteem and motivation to advance in their itinerary.
• Awareness of the importance of self-care.
• Motivate them to continue their training and update their professional skills.
• Provide and showcase successful career search experiences.
• To accompany them: to be by their side while they make their way.
